1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GrabShot.dev and all services operated under the grabshot.dev domain, including all subdomains and APIs (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using any of our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Description of Services

GrabShot provides a suite of web-based API services including, but not limited to, screenshot capture, PDF generation, metadata extraction, and related developer tools. Services are accessed via HTTP API endpoints and may include web-based dashboards for account and usage management.

3. Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. API Usage and Rate Limits

Each plan includes specific usage limits (API calls per month, rate limits per minute). Usage beyond your plan's limits will be rejected. You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the API, or use the Services in a way that degrades performance for other users.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Capture screenshots of, or process content from, websites you do not have permission to access
  • Generate, store, or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Services
  • Resell or redistribute the Services without written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Payments and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Price changes do not apply retroactively to existing billing periods.

7. Free Tier

Free tier accounts are provided as-is with no guaranteed uptime or support. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free tier at any time. Free tier output may include watermarks or other branding as specified in the plan details.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all code, design, documentation, and branding, are owned by GrabShot. You retain ownership of all content you submit to or generate through the Services. By using the Services, you grant us a limited license to process your input data solely to provide the requested output.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or reliability of any output generated by the Services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GrabShot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Modifications to the Services

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active paid subscribers of significant changes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal proceedings.
